The day you realize that your thighs aren't rubbing together as much as they used to is a pretty good day!  What could be better?  The day you don't recognize your own shrinking shadow!  Now that is a good day!

Medium!!! I bought a size medium pants this weekend! 😮 They are tight but they fit and feel ok! I don't think I will fit in all medium pants as I have a skin flap on my tummy too... but it is nice to buy smaller things! 😃

I thought it would be fun to do a little silly day today! I put on my high school lettermans jacket just to see if it fit yet and I put a funny hat on to make sure everyone is getting enough protein! Very important!

I am working on Skin shrinking ideas! With this weight loss and previous loss I have about a 2 inch flap on my arms... so I am doing everything I can with my workouts to tighten and I am research oils to support in this as well.

Putting focus where it should be. I know that this is a weight loss challenge and healthy living challenge but when I don't focus on where the focus should be I am not as successful as I could be so I am putting my focus on my faith as well as my healthy living! This is so important! Working on my mind and spirit as well. More information about that is in my Building a Healthy Living Temple group!

Day 36 was a super active day! Went on a hike, went to the park, and did a ton of walking with my family. Also went to a great place for paleo food the Cultured Caveman!

Weigh and measure day! I was not at my lowest of this challenge yet today so I guess technically still on the plateau but did go down 2 lbs that I had gone up so that was good. Only .5 inch change so I didn't take pictures but that is ok. I feel like I am on the right track now!

Day 13 of my plateau... day 2 of bone broth and egg whites. Feeling good and hoping my scale starts moving soon!

Day 12 of the plateau so I did another switch up! Bone broth and egg whites! Bone broth is very cleaning to the body so I am hoping that this will fix what ever is going on in my body!

This was day 11 of my plateau. I know that a lot of people would have given up by now but I am pressing on. I am praying. I am exercising. I am eating healthy and I know that this too shall pass!

Day 30


Day 30 Slique in 60 challenge.  To say I was disappointed with my results last week and this week is an understatement. I am highly competitive even when I am competing with myself! So I added Slique essence today to my Slique in 60 challenge. I am hoping that it will help flush things out!


Day 29

Day 29 Slique in 60! Fun in the snow! Please excuse the blue berry teeth! Oh my! I should have brushed before walking! One thing with eating healthy foods is that some stain your teeth... but that is ok I have my Thieves tooth paste!



Day 28

Day 28 Slique in 60 Challenge:

Weigh in day... Didn't lose this week. 💔😞. In fact I gained. I did however lose half an inch of my waist so that was the best part. I didn't do pictures this week because I felt like it really wasn't needed.

My scale is still not happy with me. Tomorrow is weigh in and I have a feeling it will be not happy with me again. I am on a definite plateau for sure. I am feeling good. I am able to exercise more. I just need that scale to start moving again.

Nothing like forgetting to do your video... going to bed... and waking up 20 minutes later freaking out that your video isn't done. I am human. These videos and posting them have been a lot more work then I thought they would be.



Day 25

Day 25 Slique in 60 Challenge. My scale is not being nice to me. I know I shouldn't weigh every day but I need to know where I am at so I can make the changes I need to make... Like today! I hired a trainer... now this isn't some spendy personal trainer from the gym... it is my 7 year old who is going to help motivate me in my exercise program. He has been doing the exercises along with me and I am excited he is going to help me stay on track!


Day 24

Day 24 of the Slique in 60 challenge! I am getting back on track and eating more to get my body moving again. It seems to like this weight though quite a bit. More water, more exercise and more of the healthy foods will get me going good!

Day 23

Day 23 Slique in 60 Challenge.  Ok... so here is the scoop.  Yesterday was the first day I have gone up in weight on this challenge.  I know exactly why too!  I didn't eat enough!  Yep, I know it seems like opposite world but it is true!  When I don't eat enough I gain weight!  It is because of a lot of different things but the last two days I have upped my intake of Healthy Fats, Proteins, and Veggies!   So much so that I was stuffed!  Hoping the scale will move back tomorrow!

Day 22

Day 22 Slique in 60 challenge! Woohoo! My loving husband joined me for this quick video. He has been very supportive in my journey and even tries the Slique tea live!



Day 21

Ok, today is day 21 of the Slique in 60 challenge and it was weighing and measuring day! I am feeling good. I have lost around 30 inches off my whole body so far and I am hoping to lose a whole lot more! My pictures are at the end of this video.



Day 20

Today is day 20 of the Slique in 60 Challenge. Day 20!!! That is 1/3 through the challenge! This is going super fast! I really want to step up my game and do well with this! Tomorrow is my weigh and measure day.



Day 19

Day 19 of the Slique in 60 Challenge!

Today I was challenged a bit in wanting something sweet... but I did well and stayed away from the sweets! In fact I have been without added sugars since the beginning of January. I am working hard to eat whole foods only and making my own condiments even! It is different for me but it is going great.

Day 18 of the Slique in 60 Challenge! Walks are great to gets some exercise and to clear the mind! Do you enjoy going for walks on sunny days?

Day 16

Day 16 Slique in 60 challenge! Today I am feeling a little better! Still not 100% but I am going to get some better exercise on today! My plans are to do my simply fit board today. :) Taking it easy but still working hard to compete in this challenge! I want to do as much as I can! :)



Day 15

Day 15 Slique in 60 challenge! I got a bit of a runny nose so diffusing Thieves and taking it easy today! Tomorrow will be better! I am sure of it!


Day 14

Day 14 of the Slique in 60! My weigh in day! I am ok with the results this week! I was worried that the allergy reaction that I had would mess it up and that my arm being hurt would mess it up but I still lost some and lost a lot on my lower neck! Woohoo! Shrink neck shrink!





Day 13

Day 13 Slique in 60 challenge was a great family outing day!  We went to  the beach for a hike and then to a fort for some more hiking and climbing!  My arm is still sore so I tried to be careful when lifting my son up a wall and when climbing up a wall that was as tall as my chest myself.  I ended up being able to find a couple foot holds and was able to lift my self up with my left arm though I cut my hand a bit doing that.  It was a good feeling though being able to climb like that!



Almost done with week two!  Pressing on! :)


Day 12

Day 12 Slique in 60 challenge! Woohoo! This is going way way way too fast!

One thing that is very important is to know what you can and cannot do in exercise. I really really hurt my arm doing the burpees that were suggested to everyone to do. I probably should have not done them and I own that.

Do exercise at your level and what feels good for your body and you will do great! :)



Day 11

Day 11 Slique in 60 challenge!  Woohoo!  who doesn't love to go for a good walk!  You can walk in the rain!  Washingtonians don't melt so we did!  :)  Choose something you love to do and don't give up!

Day 10

At day 10 of the Slique in 60 challenge I am feeling pretty good about how things are going.



I love being able to share with my family some really great healthy foods! Asher loves cooking with me! He is so helpful!



The paleo mayo turned out better then the last time with my change to the ingredients but I think I am going to make just one more tweak for the next time... then I think I will be able to get my husband to enjoy the healthier mayo!



Day 9

Day 9 of Slique in 60! Slight allergy reaction to some chlorine has me a little concerned about my week this week but praying that it will not make any negative impact!



I am doing great at eating healthy whole foods and feel confident that I am on the right path!

Breakfast is so important! Don't miss it! If you do you can cause. All sorts of slow downs in your metabolism and it can make you feel a little weak later in the day!

Day 7

Day 7 of the Slique in 60 challenge! Today I took pictures again for the challenge. I am very happy with how I am transforming so far. I have lost 1.25 inches off my neck which is really great and 3 inches off my waist. I put the pictures at the end of my video for today!


Today we went swimming for our workout so my hair is wet in the pictures. We were going to do 1.5 hours in the pool but unfortunately at about 45 minutes there was a brown evacuation from the pool. So it was shut down for awhile and treated with chemicals that I am allergic to so we just left at that point. Going swimming is a big thing for me. In high school I was a competitive swimmer. I loved it! In college I signed up for the team as well but my allergy to chlorine got the best of me at that time. My eyes began to yellow and I had hives constantly so I only lasted a month on the college team. At that time I was spending up to 6 hours a day in the pool. Thankfully we found a saline pool in our area but yesterday after the Brown evacuation they dumped a ton of Chlorine in to take care of the problem.

I am hoping to be able to swim a little more often now although I am not 100% happy in a swim suit and may never be. I have a little flap of skin under my arms, on my thighs and a big flap on my tummy from losing weight earlier in life before I had my boys so I try to hide that as much as possible. I may get one of those wet suit looking suits that go half way down the arms and down the legs a little. That might make it better. I am working on tightening these spots too.

Day 6

Day 6 already! Wow this challenge is already 1/10th over! this is going fast! Today was a great day for making healthy choices! We tried something new at the Farmers market... Paleo Kale Chips. My son loved the ones with nutritional Yeast on them so we bought one for him and a plain one for me!



Then I did a great Metabolism boosting workout last night! :)

I had to modify some of the moves... burpees are not my friend. I am hoping though by the end of the challenge I will be able to do a burpee correctly.

Day 5

Day 5 and my son and I decided to do something fun for exercise! We decided to go Altitude Trampoline Park!  It was a lot of fun! :)  My son challenged me though by asking me to swing into the foam pit.  The first time I went in the foam pit before Christmas I barely got out but this time wasn't so bad! :)

The challenge is going good I am feeling good about what I am doing!  Drinking my Slique Tea, and taking my Slique Citraslim caps every day.  Drinking my water, exercising, eating paleo and making sure I get enough rest too!

Day 4

Today is Day 4 of the Slique in 60 Challenge.  I am doing good except yesterday over did the water a bit so last night didn't get as much rest as I wanted even though I worked hard to get my 8 hours in! 😊 I still drank a lot of water today but not as much as yesterday!  Hoping that helps tonight!  My water weight did go up a tiny percentage when I weighed on my scale this morning so that is good.



I made a challenge for those in my healthy living group today and I am hoping that will add to this adventure and make it fun!   Have a great day!

Day 3

My new fancy scale is going to be very important in my journey!  It helps me to know if I am losing the right kind of weight when I lose weight.  I am going to try to stay off it too much though because ups and downs of losing can be discouraging.  It is important for me to focus on what I can and what I am doing to make healthy changes!  Water!  So important!  I wish I could afford the Hydrogize water bottle from Young Living because it makes hydrogenated water which puts the PH of the water at what our body needs to work best!  Since I can't afford it right now I am using filtered water from my home and I have a couple bottles of alkaline water that I am drinking a tiny bit of each day.  Any little bit is better then none right! :)  Do you want to know more about my journey?  Join me on FB in the Building a Healthy Living Temple Wellness 2017 group or follow @Kristinesque on Instagram.

Welcome to Kristin's Building a Healthy Living Temple journey with the Slique in 60 challenge from Young Living!  This challenge began January 9th 2017.  Today is Day two!  As a part of the challenge I will be making a video blog daily of what I am doing and where I am at in the challenge!
